Join the Club

Becoming a member of the United States Power Squadrons is quite simple.

You have located the Bellevue Sail & Power Squadron, now submit your application to our Membership Chair.
What are the requirements?

  • Since USPS is a volunteer organization, it is essential that our members be willing and able to contribute their time, energy, and skills to the objectives of the organization, self education, civic service, and a family boating club.
  • One of the core beliefs of USPS membership is that an educated boater is a safe boater. It should then come as no surprise that there was an educational requirement. Typically, this had been satisfied by completion of one of our public boating courses. However, recognizing that education is our reason to exist, most recently, USPS has elected to waive the educational requirements for all members. Your major reason for joining ought to be to improve your boating knowledge through human face to face classes, fostering exchange of experiences, and learning new techniques to keep yourselves off the rocks. If you want to cruise off-shore to Hawaii, we can show you how. Of course we have social events, and go out and practice what we learn on the water, with rendezvous’ at various marinas in Puget Sound and the Gulf Islands of Canada.
  • Families are encouraged to join together so they may all learn how to keep themselves safe on the water.

If you have any questions about becoming a member, our Membership Chair will be happy to assist.
