Service Description
Covers basic electrical concepts plus issues specific to boats: different types of marine batteries, inverters & auxiliary generators, shore power & isolation transformers, AC/DC distribution panels, breakers vs. fuses, stray current corrosion and bonding. Also covers wire sizes and color recommendations, how to use a multimeter to troubleshoot typical problems in boat electrical systems and the tools that should be kept on-board to fix them. Includes hands-on exercises on how to solder & crimp connections, do an electrical corrosion survey and create a wiring diagram of your boat. 10 sessions of 2 hours each plus exam.
Cancellation Policy
All classes, seminars, clinics, et.al. are subject to cancellation if a minimum number of students is not met. If it becomes necessary to cancel your class, you will be notified via email 5 days prior to the start date.
